The Jarzyna Lab at the Ohio State University


The Jarzyna Lab is a team of interdisciplinary scientists, exploring the processes driving biodiversity change and its implications for ecosystems. Their goal is to push the field of biodiversity science forward, towards greater generality and predictability. Such progress could help scientists better predict how our planet will change in the future.

We couldn’t wait to collaborate with this group!

Our goal was to help the Jarzyna Lab develop a strong visual voice for their team. We wanted bold colors and fonts. We wanted visual assets that harness all of the exciting aspects of their research: frequent use of bird datasets, an interest in complex questions, and an emphasis on global-scale data and perspectives. We wanted to help this lab cultivate a brand and web presence as bright, curious, and exciting as this women-led team.

The Jarzyna Lab’s brand is bright, quantitative, and rigorous. It is bold and theoretical in its approaches, while anchored in a passion for on-the-ground biodiversity conservation. We wanted to reflect their values and passion with a brand that felt bright, innnovative, and inspiring.
