Center for Environmental Sustainability Through Insect Farming

For lots of folks, the concept of eating insects is not easy to swallow. Feeding bugs to livestock? Maybe. Feeding bugs to people? That is a tougher sell.

But scientists and health organizations are increasingly understanding the economic, health, and ecological benefits of farming insects instead of livestock. For our newest client, the NSF-funded Center for Environmental Sustainability Through Insect Farming (CEIF), promoting insect agriculture is a clear path towards a more sustainable future.

Our goal with this project was to help the CEIF team create a digital space that offered a friendly intro to insect agriculture and met all the technical needs. As Liason Officer Dr. Cheryl Preyer explains,

We had to get a website with a secured member space up and running quickly for a new NSF center. Working with Impact Media Lab was more fun and much less painful that I had anticipated! It was so helpful to run the copy and material we had by their team, to get their input, and create a website that did everything we needed. Our experience was so excellent, that we have returned for a number of additional projects.
