Dr. Elizabeth Leger’s Lab at the University of Nevada-Reno studies how native plants cope with the pressures of climate and anthropogenic change. Their goal is to improve restoration in the beautiful Great Basin region, while also training the workforce that is directing science on the ground.
When Dr. Leger approached us for this project, she did not have an active lab website. She was looking for a way to highlight her accomplishments and collaborations of the last 20+ years and showcase her network of students and collaborators.
For this project, we helped the Leger Lab build a memorable brand and website that celebrates their work in native plant restoration and their focus on teamwork in conservation. Our goal was to create a friendly, collaborative, and nature-inspired experience that captures the vibe of this amazing lab group.
We wanted to build a compelling digital experience that leaves a lasting impression on website visitors. We hope you love the results!

The Leger Lab is a family built from camaraderie, passion, and dirt. They are plant enthusiasts who not only care about each other, but are willing to give sweat and tears for the greater purpose of native plant restoration in the west.
To reflect their values, we designed a brand for the Leger Lab that is warm, friendly, and passionate. Their color palette draws from desert sands, foliage, and skies. Their logo and website are grounded in their drive to protect and re-wild Nevada landscapes. They are anchored in the principles of stewardship, camaraderie, and adventure.
