The Birds & The Trees

The Birds & the Trees is an interdisciplinary project that provides evidence for greening projects and policies that support climate change mitigation, conserve biodiversity, and improve access to nature. They study biodiversity within and across Canadian cities, in order to maximize the conservation of species and support of communities.

We couldn’t help but fall in love with this amazing project!

Our goal was to help the Birds & the Trees raise awareness about their new efforts, build visibility for the project online, and highlight their unique approach to wildlife- and human-friendly cities. We wanted to help this project cultivate a brand and digital presence as bold, collaborative, and innovative as this women-led science team.

The Birds & The Trees brand is caring, collaborative, and optimistic. Beyond building better policies for mitigating climate change and supporting biodiversity, their research incorporates the human experience of living alongside wildlife. Their goal is not just sustainability, but improving equity and human wellbeing at the same time. We wanted to reflect their values and passion with a brand that felt compassionate and innovative.
